To run Mobile Servicedesk, the following requirements apply:

    • Version 7.1 or 7.5
    • Web services enabled (this is on by default)
    • Internet access¹ OR local WiFi access²
    • Minor permission adjustments³
    • To enjoy all features of Mobile Servicedesk, you need to install our workflow
  • Mobile Devices
    • iOS
      • Version 5.1 or later
      • iPhone or iPad
    • Android
      • Version 2.3 or later
      • Phone or Tablet

¹ = You should be able to access your Symantec ServiceDesk over Internet outside your LAN
² = You should be able to access your Symantec ServiceDesk via WiFi
³ = Specified in the installation manual

Mobile Servicedesk launches with a blast!

Las Vegas, NV, 2013-04-20 At Symantec Vision in Las Vegas we officially launched our iOS and Android app called Mobile Servicedesk. The response was overwhelming and nothing short of a success!

Partners and customers signed up for test accounts and got the app running on their mobile devices on the spot. Visitors to our booth immediately recognized the potential of Mobile Servicedesk and how it would empower their end users and technician tremendously.
